Thumbtack is a large business to business and business to consumer services website to match people looking for a service and then a professional or professionals bidding on that job and then the consumer chooses who they want to work with. Every day, I wake up and feel unlimited in terms of being able to provide not only assistance but real value and support to people's daily lives and businesses. I get to meet and work with so many different people, and their stories and walks of life make such businesses unique and make up the true essence of their brand. I get to watch brands and businesses grow in unbelievable ways, not only with profit but also with love, emotion, and motivation to help others, regardless of what business they are in. I manage brands, businesses, and marketing strategy. I am a web designer, search engine optimization, and social media expert.
Who inspired you to start your own business?
I was six months from graduating, and I was at a bar one night with five of my business buddies whom I had been talking to for about a year. Before we entered the bar, we stopped, and all of us looked at the 100 or so people inside. I distinctively stopped and saw my life flash in front of me, giving rise to the question: "Do you want to be the 1%, or do you want to be the 99%?" I was looking directly at the example. After that moment, I spent all of my time and energy on starting to put together a business and marketing plan for myself. Six months after I graduated, I woke up on November 1, 2011, and every fear, doubt, and limiting thought disappeared. I felt free to start my business. That morning, Noggin Branding was in business, and it has been operating ever since.
